About the event

Erik Elijah Brumfield a creative force bridging the worlds of music, film, and photography. Born into the industry as the son of legendary Young & Rubicam / VML Senior Art Director Julie Brumfield, he crafted his first commercial at just nine years old, setting the stage for a dynamic career. He has helped shape the neo-soul movement, working with D’Angelo at EMI Records and collaborating with industry titans like Lyor Cohen, Russell Simmons, and Gary Harris at Def Jam. Recruited and mentored by legendary music video directors Diane Martel and Brett Ratner, he had the opportunity to witness and contribute to the creation of classic hip-hop music videos during the 90s. At his time at Cornerstone Promotion, he played a pivotal role in elevating artists like Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, and Timbaland while helping launch The Fader, a premier music and lifestyle publication, where he worked with powerhouse brands such as…
