About the event
Singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist - Elliott Skinner, is a thoughtful creator with an ethereal approach to folk and soul music. His dedication to creating music that is an influential force for people to understand other people is the reason many artists choose to work with him. He has toured and recorded with Chance the Rapper, Jon Batiste, Yebba, Samora Pinderhughes, Zane Malik, Chaka Khan, Pusha T, Eryn Allen Kane, and more. He’s opened for artists including Kamasi Washington, Nai Palm, Lady Wray, and Amos Lee but is currently Music Directing for Leon Bridges and working on his debut project. New York based, but raised in Texas, Elliott Skinner’s music is a beautiful example of what comes from the lineage of powerful and intentional Black expression.
Matthew Jamal is a New York-based bassist, composer, + instrumentalist, known for his versatile playing and genre-bending compositions.
